Turkel Design is an acclaimed designer of custom, modern, systems-built homes. Our practice was established in 2008 with the goal of making beautiful, high-quality homes available to clients anywhere.

Cofounders Joel and Meelena Turkel earned master’s degrees from the renowned graduate program in architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Joel subsequently held a faculty position at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning.

With Managing Partner Jake Wright, our firm has since completed more than 300 projects throughout North America and beyond, and refined a signature process that combines design excellence with precision, shop-built fabrication. With designers and technicians based in studios in Boston and Southern California, we work with clients wherever they are.
